About
I'm a Computer Science grad from UNC Charlotte (IT concentration, Statistics minor), now in the first year of my M.S. in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Security & Privacy.
My first real enterprise exposure was interning with Mecklenburg County, managing accounts and permissions in Active Directory and Entra ID, building VMs in Azure and vSphere, and helping migrate servers to the cloud. That's where identity clicked for me: almost every security problem eventually comes back to an account that has more access than it should.
Since then I've been building the tools and labs to get good at it: an Active Directory lab I can break and fix, a PowerShell access-review audit, and a phishing analyzer for the SOC side. Right now I'm studying for Security+ and looking for IAM, SOC, and IT roles in Charlotte or remote.
Experience
-
Jun 2024 – Aug 2024
IT Systems Engineer Intern
Mecklenburg County, Charlotte, NC
Administered user accounts, permissions, and role assignments in Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID with least privilege in mind. Built and managed 10+ VMs in Azure and VMware vSphere, ran Rubrik backups replicating to Azure storage, and helped migrate physical servers to the cloud. Kept servers, backups, and print services at 99% uptime and cut ticket resolution time by 15%.
